Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) is an American actor. Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. Bassett, who was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born at New York New York, is well-known as an actor. Bassett relocated with her sister to St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five so that they could be near their mom as she was divorced from their dad. While in high school Bassett was a spectator of John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut, where she received her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale In 1997, they got married. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama granted a Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett in the year. She was a student at the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades as well as Boca Ciega High School.
